Family S - St. Louis Family Portrait Photographer

Um, hello.  How has so much time passed since a post on this blog?  Shameful.

I have 30 + sessions to show you from LAST year, not to mention what I've shot so far this year.  Get ready to be inundated with beautiful people.  It's time to get caught up around here.

First up is a beautiful family who also happen to be my BFFs.  Love them.  They are simply the best.  Beautiful inside and out.

Family O - St. Louis Family Photographer

This lovely family was a favorite blog friend who I was able to photograph and meet - all on the same fine summer day out west.  I was so happy she asked me for photos, and it was a treat meeting her darling family.  My only wish is that she'd move here so we could be friends AND neighbors.  I'm pretty sure we'd be sharing chocolate, diet coke, and laughs every single day.

Family G - Chesterfield, MO Family Photographer

This blog is tragically overdue.  What can I say?  Fall sessions hit, and with them came a non-stop surge of families, seniors, and babies.  And it is high time you got to see them here.
Starting with this family.  As nice as they are good looking.  And that, my friends, is really saying something.

Baby Jillian - Sneak Peek [St. Louis Newborn Photographer]

I couldn't resist posting this.  Just started to upload the memory cards from what might now be my favorite newborn session - and I had to share.  This baby was so dangerous, I half considered having another one myself.

Don't say I didn't warn you.  More to come soon.

Oh, how I adore shooting people that I love -- shooting family.  There is nothing sweeter for me.  We are cousins, but often joke that we're long lost sisters.  She has taught me so much.  My children are JUST like her children.  Eerily alike.  We share more than just genes with these ones.  They are amazing.   And beautiful.  Love them.

My offspring - Chesterfield Children's Photographer

Once in a while, I can bribe my own babies to sit for photos.  On this particular day, it was triple digits ugly heat, the pools were too hot for swimming, and I made promises of ice cream.  And not just any ice cream, but Ted Drewes.  THE definitive St. Louis ice cream.  It was well worth the effort and I'm thinking I need to do it a lot more often.

Baby Sydney - St. Louis Children's Photographer

Remember this beautiful girl?  Finally getting caught up enough to post a few more from her session.  I shot her newborn photos, and cannot believe she is already six months old.  She is just delicious.  And growing up way too fast.

Family R - Chesterfield, MO Children's Photographer

These are some of my favorite kids in the entire world.  They have so much personality and are so ridiculously photogenic - it's a photographer's dream.  And the highest compliment they could ever pay me was when they referred to me as "their" photographer.  I felt honored and proud.  I will keep coming back as long as they will have me.

Family D - Chesterfield, MO Family Photographer

This sweet family was a return client from last year, as well.  Only weeks old, they have added a new addition to their family!  He is adorable and was so good in the sweltering heat.  Their daughter remains one of my all-time favorites and I love her to pieces.

Family S - St. Louis Children's Photographer

These beautiful boys are a repeat for me.  I shot them a year ago in Boston, and I cannot believe how big they have gotten.  This year, it was San Diego, and we had a ball running and playing on the beach.  They are everything brothers ought to be - sarcastic, sweet, funny, and happy.  Boys are just the bomb.

Omi's Custard - St. Louis Commercial Food Photographer

I love my job.  Seriously.  And I think ice cream is my new favorite client.  I was asked by Omi's Custard in Edwardsville, Illinois to shoot some product shots for their new menu boards.  I jumped at the chance.  And if you are ever remotely in the neighborhood, you really ought to stop by their store.  You can have Imo's pizza for lunch, and Omi's custard for dessert.  Or maybe just the custard for lunch and dessert.  Delish.

Family B - St. Louis Family Portrait Photographer

Remember this sneak peek?  I'm finally getting caught up enough to get a few more from the session posted here.  This family will always have a special place in my heart.  I spent many hours holding and loving on their sweet baby girl while they were getting her adoption finalized and commuting across the country in the process.  I grew to love them and just cherish their friendship.  Lucky for me, their grandma lives here so I get to see them once in a while now, too.

Maycei - St. Louis Newborn Photographer

This baby girl was a dream session.  Unless you are her daddy, that is.  Then it was slightly a nightmare of a session.  You know, seeing as how baby girl up and peed all over Daddy's baseball mitt.  The baseball mitt that he played with a few years ago in the minor leagues.  Oops.  Welcome to fatherhood.  Good thing she's got you wrapped around her tiny finger.

Family M - Chesterfield, MO Family Photographer

This session took place literally as the sun was coming up.  The oldest was getting ready to leave for college, and it was the last chance to snag a family photo.  I don't think I have ever laughed that much so early in the morning.  It was so fun.  This family arrived, smiles on their faces, and they just made it all worthwhile.  Plus, they're all gorgeous.  Double worthwhile.

Angie & Doug - St. Louis Wedding Photographer

I love engagement sessions.  It is so fun to see two people head-over-heels in love.  You catch the shy smiles, the knowing looks, the stolen kisses.  This darling couple was no exception.  They are two people just made for each other.  It's heaven, I tell you.

Marshall - St. Louis Senior Portrait Photographer

Shooting this kid was so much fun.  He was quiet and shy at first, but a complete natural in front of the camera.  His smile lit up the park.  He laughed when I told him that, which makes him all the more charming.  Watch out ladies.  This guy is going places.

Zach - St. Louis Children's Photographer

This ridiculously cute boy just turned eight, and his mama wanted to commemorate the milestone age with a photo shoot.  Knowing in advance how beautiful he was, I jumped at the chance.  He is as sweet as he is handsome.  I think in a few years, the ladies will be in trouble.  Hearts will definitely be breaking.

Family L - St. Louis Family Photographer

I loved this session.  Instantly fell in love with the little miss and her giant blue eyes.  Her parents are as nice as they come and were so easy to talk to.  Plus?  They live in my dream house.  I tried to talk them into giving it to me as a trade for the session, but they weren't too keen on that.  I can't imagine why.

Spencer - St. Louis Special Needs Photographer

This sweet girl was probably one of my favorite sessions this past year.  Her spirit is so big, and her body just too small for it.  She lit up the room when she smiled.  I felt such a connection from the minute we met.  I was honored and proud to be trusted with her portrait.

She melted my heart after the session when she climbed up onto my lap with a book for me to read to her.  There is something special inside of this one.  I love her.

Sisters - St. Louis Children's Photographer

I always wanted a sister.  Instead, I got four mangy brothers and a room to myself.  When I went to college and actually lived with others girls - I began to think that not having one wasn't such a bad thing after all.

But these adorable girls were so much fun together.  They laughed and shared secrets, and made me once again insanely jealous of sisterhood.  There is just nothing like it anywhere in the world.
